It Never Rains but It Pours Quilt News

There's been no end to the quilt news coming in this week, a new quilt along, quilt show acceptance, a magazine feature.  So much to share so I'm just going to jump in.

I'm teaming up with my good friend Christa Watson,, to host a quilt along starting in September.  I designed the Infrastructure quilt for Christa's new fabric line Geo Pop and am so excited to be working with Christa again.  I'll be making a version of the quilt in the new Benartex Superior Solids and Christa will be using her fabrics.
If you're interested in getting a head start Christa has kits available on her website and we both have patterns available for sale in our shops.  There will be more information about the quilt along and the fabulous giveaway as we get closer to September.

Next up I have some quilt show news.  Earlier this week I found out that my quilt, Banner Day, will be part of the 2019 Modern Quilt Guild Showcase at the International Quilt Festival in Hou…

Summertime Clambake

I have a finished quilt to share!  I know it's been a while but there's been a good reason for that.  I've had a project, that I can share at a later date, that needed to be wrapped up before I could start on a new project.

Inspiration comes out of no where sometimes and when you least expect it.  I had posted a picture of my Modern Stepping Stones mini on Instagram and Jenny ( @papersaxsten ) made a comment about the piecing process.  In the back of my mind I knew Jenny had a Double Drunkards Path template and as soon as I saw her comment this design began to form and I had to get one of her template sets.

It's really a well designed template that even includes a squaring up template that made matching up seams so easy.  I'd recommend it in a heart beat and Jenny has done some pretty amazing designs with it, see her Instagram account for more pictures.
Fortunately, I had the perfect print in my stash for the backing, and yes it ended up being another Melody Miller pr…

Retro Rollers Pattern Release

Wow time is flying this month.  Back on June 3rd, I released my Retro Rollers pattern for purchase!  I can't believe it's already been a week and I'm just now finding the time for a post, crazy.
Early this spring I was instantly inspired a couple neon pink prints for Cotton + Steel and designed this quilt.  I was so much fun to make that I wrote a pattern and found two great pattern testers that kindly agreed to a quick turn around, thank you Christa and Haven!!
The pattern has easy to follow instructions, diagrams, templates and features a unique diagonal stripe technique.  The PDF download is available at and or you can go to the pattern tab above and click through to my Etsy shop.
I also have some news on all those challenges I took part in this Spring.  First after participating in Curated Quilts mini challenge I received notification that Intersections 2.0 was picked to be featured in the first issue of Curated Quilts!
The third challenge I entere…
