I've been waiting for a super long time and have dropped a hint or two here and there but I finally get to share that last year I was asked to design, piece, bind and write the pattern for the QuiltCon 2019 Giveaway Quilt, Keyhole Kaleidoscope!

When I got asked to make the QuiltCon Giveaway Quilt I'd only done a few quilts on my longarm and knew that the work for this quilt had to be beyond stellar so I asked my friend, Christine Perrigo (@ccpquilt), to quilt it.  The quilt is 70" x 84" and Christine covered every square inch we amazing quilting!

This quilt features Moda Bella Solids with subtle color differences along with high contrast to create depth and movement and is available as a pattern on The Modern Quilt Guild website for $10.

Not only can you make this quilt for yourself, if you are currently at QuiltCon you can buy raffle tickets for a chance to WIN this quilt!!  If you're not a QuiltCon you can still buy the pattern or see it featured in QuiltCon M…

It's a strip quilt but as you can see I mixed several patterns together.  I also tried out a new quilting design with my walking foot.  I really like the texture it adds and will definitely use it again.

While piecing this quilt I decided my niece would love the colors and backing so I'm gifting it to her.  She excited!  That always makes it more fun.

As mentioned before I've been getting alot done.  I finished two quilt tops this week and a monthly challenge I've signed up for, but more on that later.  There's just so much going on right now, including an official Modern Quilt Guild in Spokane.  It just started this month!  The Inland Northwest Modern Quilt Guild's next meeting is Feb 3rd.  Here's their Facebook page for more informatio…
