Banner Day in Curated Quilts

A few months back Curated Quilts announced that their next magazine would have a curve theme.  I was so excited and even though I already had three looming deadlines, I submitted my design, Banner Day, and it was accepted for publication as a pattern!

The curve issue of Curated Quilts started shipping earlier this week and is currently for sale on their website.  There are so many great articles and quilts in this issue I can't wait to get a copy in my hands!

Unfortunately, I forgot to take pictures of Banner Day before I shipped it off but I do have a picture of the quilt as shown in the magazine.

As soon as I get the quilt back from the magazine I'll get more pictures up.  In the meantime,  I can share the original design mock up.

Banner Day Design

Along with the Banner Day pattern I was asked to share Scandinavian Pathway in gallery section of the magazine.  Scandinavian Pathway is currently available as a pattern in my Etsy shop.

Since I frequently work with curves there may, or may not I haven't seen the final issue yet, be a couple references to other patterns I carry in my Etsy shop, Urban Trek and Retro Rollers.

I also made a mini quilt for this issue but it wasn't selected for the mini quilt gallery, which is perfectly fine, but I thought I would share it again.

Stripe, Curves and a Quatrefoil

I'm glad this design was only 14" x 14" because it wasn't easy to execute.  I do hope everyone gets a chance to read through the Curves Issue by Curated Quilts!

  2. Another outstanding, "banner" quilt, Heather! I just love everything you design and make. And your quilting makes this one really special. Good for you to be published once again, even though your lovely curves challenge quilt wasn't accepted. How does THAT happen?! (Scratching my head.) Congratulations again on your great work. You're the best at what you do!

    1. Thanks Linda! There seems to be quite a few improv curve minis selected so I don't think a traditional pieced curve was what they were looking for but I couldn't be more pleased with how everything turned out.
